A
red umbrella made an impact on me today.
It was raining cats and dogs,
and as usual, lazy old me refused to bring her umbrella.
So i skipped/ran/trudged/danced in the torrential rain,
with my (thank God) waterproof blue bag,
and my sandwich in my hand.
While skipping along the pavement,
a lorry driver stopped right next to me,
wind down his window and passed a
red umbrella to me.
Whether it was a work of God,
or just a splash of kindness from a total stranger,
it touched my heart.
I thank that Uncle very much.
& also the Uncle at the Bicycle store who offered me toilet paper to dry up.
The people whom you've never met,
or they just never crossed your minds,
tend to surprise you in the most intriguing ways.
That just happened to me today.
& i'm grateful that it did.
