I screw my eyes shut,

as tears rolled down my cheeks.
I placed my hands above yours.
I could feel them shaking so hard.
I could hear your warm breath against mine,
heaving deeply, yet sighing softly,
the type of melody i would call mine.

I felt the barrel rub against my temple,
"it's time," i muttered.
I glanced up and your sweat-drenched face,
into your eyes that shown pain so true.
I could see tears glistened in your eyes,
and i felt a thousand arrows pierce through my heart.

"I'm sorry, baby." I whispered,
before pressing your finger against the trigger.
Before you could say anything more,
I covered your mouth with one last kiss.
